In ’67, high-flying celebrity photographer Donald Silverstein caught up with the late guitar legend Jimi Hendrix. Resulting in an intimate photoshoot as the master musician prepared to release his second studio album.

Back then, this meeting of artistic talents resulted in two of Jimi Hendrix’s most iconic photographs. However, Donald Silverstein used 12 rolls of film that day, with most never reaching the public eye. Roll on 55 years, and these long-lost photographs have now re-emerged for a rock-star-laden NFT collection.

The epic new Jimi Hendrix NFT photography collection will arrive via three individual drops over the coming weeks. The first will take place on November 27, Jimi’s birthday, and feature a fractionalized image of Donald and Hendrix together. It results in 101 dynamic NFTs that change designs when clicked on, retailing for a flat 0.08 ETH apiece.
A little later down the line, the second drop will include 80 individual artist interpretations of a single picture. Another series of 27 collectible images of the exceptionally gifted musician will be released after the second drop.
