What Is Disney’s Hocus Pocus 2 NFT Collection?
In essence, the Hocus Pocus 2 collection is a series of NFT movie posters featuring movie lore and its characters. The digital collectibles will drop on Veve, a widely successful app-based NFT platform. Disney is moving forward with this collection via a blind mint. Therefore, collectors will not know the rarity of their posters until after they collect and unbox their NFT. The series features the Sanderson sister trinity and subsequent movie characters Becca, Cassie, and Lily. To clarify, the ‘Sanderson Sisters’ NFT is an airdrop poster in the collection.
The four collectibles are Ultra Rare editions costing 40 Gems (1 Gem = 1 USD) and each edition consists of 1313 NFTs. Disney plans to airdrop the Sisters Three poster to collectors who mint all 4 unique poster editions of the Hocus Pocus 2 collection. Furthermore, fans and collectors have until the 7th of November – 8 AM PT to mint all four editions. The airdrop will occur on 10th November.
Non Fungible Treats
Each of the 4 NFTs are available for mint globally and represent a piece of the movie. The lore behind the ‘Light This Candle’ NFT is stated as such: “It’s been 29 years since someone lit the candle and resurrected the 17th-century sisters, and they are looking for revenge. In this wickedly collectible poster, Becca, Cassie, and Izzy have to stop the ravenous witches from wreaking a new kind of havoc on Salem before dawn on All Hallow’s Eve.”
