Back in November, Warner Bros. and NFT platform, Nifty’s announced their partnership for Game of Thrones digital collectibles. The team yesterday, December 21, announced that the highly anticipated ‘Game of Thrones: Build Your Realm Hero Box’ will drop on 10 January, 2023. The first Hero Box will include collectibles and avatars from the Northern regions of Westeros.
What are Game of Thrones digital collectibles?
Game of Thrones: Build Your Realm is a “first-of-its-kind digital collectibles experience” from Warner Bros. Discovery Global Consumer Products and Nifty’s. Essentially, the program includes multiple “chapters” representing different regions of Westeros and beyond. Each chapter will have its own unique digital collectibles, activities, and rewards, featuring different regional houses, classes, characters, and items.
Warner Bros. and Nifty’s will release the first look into the Game of Thrones digital collectibles early next month. Through this exciting collection, fans of the series will get a chance to experience their fandom in the digital collectibles world. The first Hero Box will release on January 10. After buying, collectors can either open the box, keep it sealed, or even trade it.

What’s inside Game of Thrones: Build Your Realm Hero Box?
The first Hero Box includes avatars and digital collectibles from the Northern regions of Westeros. The avatars are the main highlight of the box and will only be available during the specific chapter release. Besides, they come with varying attributes, such as Longclaw, a loyal direwolf companion, and more.
Apart from this, the release will also include extremely rare, Legendary Hero avatars based on favourite Game of Thrones characters. Fans will also have the opportunity to upgrade their avatars by collecting different resource cards.
Specifically, each Series 1 Hero Box will contain the following:
- One Hero (or Legendary Hero) avatar
- Nine Resource Cards to build your realm
- Three Story Cards, featuring iconic scenes, characters and locations from the show
A total of 3,450 Hero Boxes will be available during the presale (8 am PT, January 10). Then, Nifty’s will add an additional 1,500 during the public sale (12 am PT, January 10).

As previously mentioned, Game of Thrones: Build Your Realm’s January release is only the first chapter of the digital collectibles experience. In the future, Warner Bros. will release thematic activities, on-site engagement, and additional digital collectibles.
Meanwhile, other collectible cards will feature iconic moments, locations, characters, and more from the beloved series. Besides, fans will also have the opportunity to buy varying themed packs, alongside more upgrades and digital mementoes.
